To all Little Stars Families,

A very happy belated New Year!  Hope everyone had an enjoyable and restful holiday season.

I wanted to let everyone know that I recently assumed the role of Class Parent for Little Stars.  One of the roles of the class parent is to find ways for the LS families to get to know one another better outside of the classroom.

I’ll be working with Abigail Snyder, the class parents for Bears and Rainbows, Manyi, Martha, and others to organize play dates and get-togethers, both with and without kids.  Hopefully, you have all seen Abigail’s posting about the upcoming play date for the Little Stars, which will be on Saturday, January 26, from 3-5 pm, at the PSCCC gym.

If you could drop me a note and let me know if you think you can make the play date, and if you are able to bring any snacks, that would be terrific.  I’ll coordinate the responses and make sure that we have enough food and variety for everyone.  Please do not feel obligated to bring anything – we really would just love to have you, and we’ll be sure to have plenty of snacks for everyone.  If you do bring something, please bear in mind that, as a nut-free school, all snacks must also be nut-free.

I’d also love to hear from you as to what activities you would like to see, and I’d also love to get ideas on where/when/what works for people.  As Abigail mentioned, we are looking to plan some adult-only get-togethers – more to come on that.  I realize, however, that this could get tricky (and expensive) with extra babysitting, so please let me know what you think about that generally and if there are certain days/times that work best for you.

Please email me any suggestions or thoughts at florencerliu@gmail.com.  I’m looking forward to getting to know all of you better and to working with you.

Florence (Charlotte’s mom)
