Hi PSCCC families!

A reminder: Next Friday, Nov. 20th, is International Food Day. Families are asked to create a poster for the celebration. And the weekend seems like a great time to do that, right?
These posters are to be made at home and brought to the Collective by Monday, November 16 (this Monday!). There’s poster paper (14″ x 22″ – half size, don’t be scared!) available right next to the sign-in books – please stop by and take home a piece.

To make your Family Poster, please fill your poster paper with photos and/or drawings of your child, family members and ancestors, loving notes, memorabilia, images of homeland, images of food, language, flags, and anything you can think of that may reflect on the theme of heritage or family. The approach and interpretation of these posters is very open, and the project is meant to encourage conversation with your child about their family and background. We will be displaying them on International Food Day for you to come in during drop-off and enjoy them with your child – and learn more about all our families here at the Collective.

Also, WE NEED VOLUNTEERS that day! There are two main shifts: 8-11 am, and 11-2 pm – but even if you just have an hour, we need you. If you can help out, please sign up (for work credit, of course) – the sign-up sheet is on the white door.

PS  We still want you to make a Family Poster even if your child does not attend Fridays as these posters will be displayed for several weeks for all to enjoy and learn about one another. And, please remember, if your child does not attend Fridays, you are most welcome to stop in sometime between 8:00-9:30am on November 20 to see the display.
PPS  Please start thinking about which special dish you will be bringing to share on November 20!!
