Dearest Families,

Thank you, thank you for such a wonderful International Food Day! It was incredible to see all the sharing, excitement, and enjoyment as families looked at the amazing family posters together in the morning; the children gathered before lunch for a beautiful Collective assembly during which they listened to “Yoko” by Rosemary Wells and sang songs for one another; and then indulged in a special lunch of their classmates’ (and their own) favorite family foods with accompanying stories. It was a wonderful way to learn more about all our friends here at the Collective – and to share in our special community. Thank you for making these marvelous posters with your children and for bringing such delicious foods to share. And a very heartfelt thank you to all our parent volunteers – this day couldn’t have happened without you.

Two reminders/messages:

1) If you haven’t already, please be sure to look through your Original Works orders to be sure everything is in order. If anything was left out or damaged, I need to know by Tuesday, November 24, so we can get you a replacement. Thanks!

2) It’s not too late to join tomorrow’s get-together at Bahche, even if you didn’t RSVP. Please stop by and join our families:

Date: Nov. 22nd, 11 am- 1 pmish (we hope cleaning workshift folks will join us after they finish!)

Location: the Bahche, 191 7th St (between 2nd & 3rd Aves), Brooklyn 11215

Thank you again – and have a wonderful weekend,

Martha
