Dear Families,

PSCCC is excited to celebrate International Food Day this Friday. If you haven’t done so already, please drop off your child’s Family Poster in the main office. We also ask that you please drop off a very simple food story about your child’s dish in the main office as well. The template is included at the bottom of this email.

Upon dropping off your dishes on Friday, all Rainbows/Bears families are invited to visit the gym anytime from 8:00 am – 9:30 am to participate in our family event. If your child is in Little Stars, the family event will take place in their classroom during the drop-off time.

The instructions for food presentation are below:

International Food Day takes place on Friday, November 20. Please send your child to school with a small dish (6 to 8 servings) of food that reflects his/her heritage or background. Please make sure it is in a stackable, microwavable (if applicable) container along with a labeled serving utensil that indicates your child’s name/class and whether it should be heated.

Main dishes, side dishes, and desserts are all welcome.

*Please keep in mind that it must be a nut-free dish.

* Please note there will not be space available in the fridge that day for lunch bags, so please be sure your dish is one that your child will most certainly eat and enjoy.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you.

Sincerely,
Kat (Odys – Rainbows), Martha, and the Diversity Committee
