THE COLLECTIVE SPIRIT

The Collective is a supportive and collaborative environment where adults from different economic, racial and cultural backgrounds come together, bound by their love and concern for their children. Each of us cares for, contributes to, helps build and works to maintain the health and character of our school and community whether we are teachers, administrators or parents of students.

Parental involvement is a core value of the Collective. The Collective Credit Program allows parents to make meaningful contributions to the school and ensure that all families are part of the community. Parents commit to accumulating 18 hours of credit each over the course of the school year by participating in school activities. Collective credits may consist of predetermined tasks needed for the smooth operation of the school or special projects proposed by parents to help strengthen our community. We welcome and encourage parents to pitch new Collective credit proposals that use their skills and creativity.
