Welcome to the new school year! I enjoyed meeting many of you today and watching your children arrive with energy and enthusiasm. It was a fun and happy day.
New beginnings can elicit many kinds of feelings – excitement, apprehension, happiness, fear, sadness – and we anticipate seeing all of these emotions the first few weeks. As a child- centered program, our teachers are prepared to help each child make the transition to school, working with families to ensure that everyone feels safe and secure at the Collective.
As part of the transition, we also encourage new families to attend our Orientations. These hour-long meetings are a chance for parents to learn more about the day-to-day routines in the classrooms and to ask any questions. (Returning families are welcome, too.) We will have a more in-depth Curriculum Meeting later in the fall.
Little Stars Orientation – 5:00 PM on Wednesday, September 5. Bears/Rainbows Orientation – 6:00 PM on Thursday, September 6.
Childcare will be available during the Orientations for $10/child. Please RSVP to me (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you plan to use this childcare option.
Again, we look forward to your arrivals – and to the beginning of a very joyful school year.
