2s Program

Little Stars: 1 class of 10-11 children, 4 teachers.
*For children who have turned 2 by the start of the school year.

Our 2s Program is warm and joyful, full of creative play and thoughtful care. Our low student-to-teacher ratio ensures each Little Star develops trustful, nurturing relationships with the new grown-ups in their lives, helping them feel safe and secure to explore, play, and learn.

Lots of space and open time.
Our spacious classroom is filled with open-ended materials for delving into block-building, dramatic play, painting and art, and sand and water play at the start of each day. Our open gym provides a large, safe space for more active physical play. 

Growing independence and social development.
Children independently choose activities and move freely between classroom areas, enjoying both solo and social play, with their teachers right there providing support and gentle guidance.    

Out and about.
Most every day you’ll find the Little Stars at the playground or in the side yard with climbing equipment, a sandbox, and scoot toys. Neighborhood walks are also an integral part of our real-world learning - from pumpkin-shopping trips to checking in on our “watching tree” to track the seasons, or stopping to listen to a jazz band. As spring arrives and the days (and kids’ legs!) get longer, we venture to Prospect Park where the play is boundless.
